Activation instructions for Corel PaintShop Pro and other Corel products.

  1. Before downloading and installing the product, you must LOG ON to COREL.COM
  2. Go to your account panel
  3. Click on Register your product and enter your Corel product key
  4. Then you will have access to the download option for your specific software

This article contains two sets of instructions:

1. I already have the product installed on my computer

2. I do not currently have the product installed on my computer

Follow the instructions for the current scenario.

1 If the product is already installed on the computer, you can use the serial/purchase key to activate the program.

  1. Open the product and then close it.
  2. A dialog box will appear with a button titled "Already purchased? Click here to enter your serial number."
  3. Click "Have you already purchased?" Enter your serial number and click "Connect."
  4. You will receive a confirmation asking if you wish to save or print your activation information. Choose the option you want.

If you encounter errors or have problems activating the product online, follow the instructions below:

Disconnect the computer from the Internet (with dial-up accounts, simply disconnect the dial-up connection. With broadband accounts, disable the network connection option by performing the following:

a) Go to Start | Control Panel.

b) Double-click Network Connections (if you are in the Category view, click Network and Internet Connections, then Network Connections on the next screen).

c) Right-click the Local Area Connection icon and choose Disable.

If you have problems with the above procedure, an alternative option is to physically disconnect the network interface cable from the back of the computer or the HUB to which it is connected. **

  1. Start and close the product again
  2. Click on the Already purchased? Enter your serial number.
  3. Click Corel Phone.
  4. You will be offered an installation code and your key with an empty Activation Code field. **Contact technical support online at http://www.corel.com/support by submitting a question or clicking on the Get Live Support icon. **

Provide technical support with the installation code and key, and you will be provided with an activation code that you can use to unlock your product.

2 I do not currently have the product installed on my computer

If you have not yet installed the product on your computer, you will need to download the program before activating it. There will be two different places you can download it from:

** Instructions for downloading: **

  1. Immediately after completing your order, you will be directed to an order confirmation page with a link that says "Click to download."
  2. You will receive an order confirmation e-mail with a link that says "Click to download."
  3. Click the Click to Download link on the order confirmation page or in the order confirmation e-mail.
  4. Be sure to keep an eye out for any pop-up blocking programs that might be activated by your browser or Internet security software.
  5. You will be offered a dialog box for downloading the file. Choose to save the file.
  6. Save the file somewhere you know where to find it, such as on the desktop.
  7. Once the file is downloaded, double-click the file icon to initialize the program installation.
  8. Follow the installation wizard to install the program. You will be asked to enter your serial number.
  9. Use the serial number provided on the order confirmation page or in the order confirmation e-mail.
  10. Open the program and then close it. Follow the instructions provided above in I already have the product installed on my computer - to activate the program.
